MEUS Racing Titanium LCG MD24 Chassis/ MD24 Dig Chassis Kit for Axial 1/24 SCX24

MEUS Racing Titanium LCG MD24 Chassis/ MD24 Dig Chassis Kit for Axial 1/24 SCX24

MEUS Racing Titanium LCG Chassis MD24 Dig Chassis with Dig Unit, MD24 Chassis with Carrier Bearing for Axial 1/24 SCX24 RC Crawler Upgrades.

MD24 Chassis Key Features:

  • 1. Made of TC4 Titanium, with greater strength and durability.
  • 2. 20° angled chassis, POM skid plate, greater trafficability.
  • 3. Better transmission angle and higher driveshaft position further improve the trafficability
  • 4. It's recommended to use the chassis with our double-bent lower links(not included), which won't get stuck on terrain easily compared with straight links.
  • 5. Comes with the aluminum magnet base.

MD24 Dig Chassis Key Features:

  • 1. Made of TC4 Titanium, with greater strength and durability.
  • 2. 20° angled chassis, POM skid plate, and greater trafficability.
  • 3. Integrated with the MEUS Racing dig unit for a smaller steering radius; you will get the dig function by disconnecting the rear driveshaft due to the worm structure of the rear axle
  • 4. Better transmission angle and higher driveshaft position further improve the trafficability
  • 5. It's recommended to use the chassis with our double-bent lower links(not included), which won't get stuck on terrain easily compared with straight links.
  • 6. Comes with an aluminum magnet base.
  • 7. Servo voltage: 5-7.4V
  • 8.  FuriTek Tri Unity motor and transmission also work with this MD24 chassis.

Specifications:

  • Chassis frame material: Titanium
  • Chassis links & drive shafts material: Stainless steel

Note:  We have designed this excavator chassis based on the SCX24 universal axle, with a worm gear structure inside the rear axle. When the rear drive shaft is disconnected, the rear axle will automatically lock to achieve the digging function.
Some SCX24 axles have a condition where the rear axle cannot automatically lock, resulting in the failure of the digging function.

MD24 Chassis/Dig Chassis Recommended Parts List

Links & Driveshafts:

Option 1.
- MEUS Racing special links & driveshafts kit for chassis with dig unit
90081 front links and 100mm rear links
90081 front driveshafts and rear C10 driveshafts
165mm wheelbase

Option 2.
90081 front links and 90mm rear links
90081 front driveshaft and C10 front driveshafts
155mm

Transmission

MEUS Racing brushless transmission, which is smaller due to an integrated design, providing more space for the motor(suitable for a 2mm motor output shaft).

Motor

1806 motors
1621 motors(you need to move the servo forward)

ESC

Mini24 from HobbyWing is recommended
(MEUS Racing brushless ESC is coming out, please stay tuned!)

Servo

MEUS Racing coreless servo ME-X8/ME-X12

Axle

MEUS Racing SCX24 ISO V1/V2

Shocks

32mm(hole to hole) front shocks are recommended; custom rear shocks

Note:

Steering Servo
- Be careful with the servo wiring to prevent the servo wires from being damaged by the running motor

Dig Switch Servo
- Set the button type to a 2-gear button, limit, and set the servo travel to a reasonable range to prevent damage to the servo.

Assembled with MEUS Racing brushless transmission
- With 1806 outer rotor motor(requires 2mm motor shaft, MEUS Racing 1806 outer rotor motor will be released soon).

- Front driveshafts should be assembled at a reasonable transmission angle. Ensure that when the front shocks are fully compressed, the driveshafts stay clear of the 1806 motor.

- You can adjust the mounting holes of the upper links and front shocks to their proper positions, thereby limiting the travel.

- With 1621 outer rotor motor(requires 2mm motor shaft, e.g. HobbyWing QuickRun Outer 1621s.

- Move the servo forward to prevent it from being hit by the motor when the shocks are compressed.

100mm Rear Links
- For max. ground clearance, the links are not supposed to be vertically assembled; you need to twist the bent point of the upper links inwards and the bent point of the lower links outwards. Please check the assembly pictures on the MEUS Racing website.

Others
We designed this dig chassis based on common axles for SCX24 with a worm structure inside the rear axle. When the rear driveshaft is disconnected, the rear axle will lock itself to get the dig function. Some SCX24 axles will have a situation where the rear axle can’t lock itself, which causes the dig function to fail.

The notes above are for officially recommended parts; currently, we don’t verify the feasibility of the assembly with other parts.

The dig chassis requires related knowledge and experience with modifications. Please check before purchase.
